The AURWEN ARW-1000 is a surface-mounted overhead automatic door operator engineered for exceptionally large and heavy hinged doors. With a maximum torque of 300 N.m, support for door widths up to 1,800 mm and a stated door-weight range of 500-1,000 kg, it is designed for demanding applications requiring powerful, precise and externally controlled door movement.

Key advantages

Heavy-duty capacity: designed for hinged doors weighing 500-1,000 kg, subject to door geometry and installation conditions.
Maximum 300 N.m torque provides the driving force required for large door leaves.
Surface-mounted overhead installation simplifies installation access, inspection and maintenance.
Push-arm and pull-arm options support different mounting sides and opening directions.
PLC digital vector control delivers more precise motion and smoother starting and stopping.
Configurable I/O functions allow control-port functions to be defined to suit the project.
Automation-ready: independent command and status signals support integration with AGVs, PLCs and management platforms.
Dual anti-pinch protection supports obstruction protection during both opening and closing.
Multiple operating modes suit single-leaf, full-open, synchronous and asynchronous control strategies.
Final permissible door weight depends on the door width, centre of gravity, hinge condition, wind load, friction, opening angle and operating environment.

Industrial automation interfaces

The operator provides independent control inputs and door-position outputs for integration with automated systems. Command inputs are Open, Close and Stop. Status outputs are fully open / opening arrival and fully closed / closing arrival.
These signal interfaces allow the ARW-1000 to coordinate with automated guided vehicles (AGVs), PLC control systems, production-line control systems, warehouse management platforms, industrial access-control systems and central monitoring platforms.

PLC digital vector control

The PLC-based digital vector controller is designed to improve movement accuracy and provide smoother acceleration, deceleration, starting and stopping. Configurable I/O functions allow the control logic to be adapted to the operating sequence of the project. This makes the ARW-1000 particularly suitable for entrances where door movement must be coordinated with machines, vehicles or facility-management systems.

Safety functions

The ARW-1000 supports anti-pinch protection in both movement directions. Opening protection helps prevent continued force when an obstruction is detected during opening, and closing protection does the same during closing.
The complete entrance system should be designed with the required safety sensors, protective devices and control logic according to the local standard and risk assessment.

Operating modes

Depending on the project configuration, the controller supports single-leaf opening, full opening, synchronous operation and asynchronous operation. These modes provide flexibility for single doors, paired doors and automated industrial sequences.

Push-arm and pull-arm selection

A push-arm configuration is generally selected when the operator is mounted on the push side of the door; the articulated linkage transfers the operator's rotation into a controlled pushing movement.
A pull-arm configuration is generally selected when the operator is mounted on the pull side. It suits cases where the door and frame geometry allow the linkage to pull the door leaf open. The correct arm and mounting arrangement must be confirmed from the doorway drawing before ordering.

Recommended applications

Industrial plants and production facilities; automated warehouses and logistics centres; AGV passage doors; large steel or security doors; hangar and equipment-room access doors; heavy fire-rated or specialist doors subject to certification and door-system approval; controlled industrial entrances; and infrastructure and utility facilities.

Information required for project selection

Please provide: door-leaf width, height and actual weight; door material, thickness and centre of gravity; hinge type, quantity and condition; opening direction and required opening angle; push-side or pull-side mounting; frame depth and available mounting space; indoor or outdoor installation environment; wind pressure and differential air pressure if applicable; daily operating frequency and duty cycle; required control signals and status feedback; required sensors, switches and access-control devices; and doorway photos and technical drawings.
Final product configuration, allowable door capacity, interfaces and safety requirements must be confirmed against the latest approved AURWEN technical documents and the project's door drawings before ordering or installation.
